How we can help
We have listening volunteers available around the clock every day of the year to offer confidential emotional support.
Our volunteers regularly give talks and workshops in schools and colleges all over Cork city and county.
We train prisoners in Cork prison to become listeners and then we offer them support on a weekly basis.
We provide a face to face facility at our branch from 9am -9pm every day of the year.
Accessibility information
- Accessible toilets
- Wheelchair accessible
Cork Samaritans

The Cork branch of Samaritans opened its doors September 1972 and currently has 180 active volunteers of all ages who are here round the clock, every single day of the year.
NOTE:
As a result of the current situation we are sorry to advise you that our face to face service is temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus, Covid-19.
We are sad to have had to make this decision and will update this webpage as things change.
In the meantime, we are still here for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year through our telephone and email services.
Please call for emotional support FREE on 116 123 or email [email protected]
