We are incredibly grateful to Cheltenham Zumba with Kelly, who held a successful two-hour Zumbathon, raising funds for our branch.
Zumba instructors Kelly and Nikki led over 80 participants in a two-hour Zumbathon, which also featured a raffle, and a cake-stand to refuel. The event was held to raise funds for Cheltenham and District Samaritans branch. as well as Springbank Community Centre.
They chose Cheltenham Samaritans as one of the charities to support as one of our branch volunteers, Jacqui, has been going to Kelly's Zumba classes for years. Nikki referred to Jacqui, and other branch volunteers, as "superhumans". Jacqui also held an awareness stand at the event.
Thanking Kelly and Nikki for organising this event, branch director Andy said: "Our volunteers are extraordinary but as a local charity responsible for all our own fundraising we can only continue to support callers and outreach in the local community with the help of generous donations like this."
