We held our 2025 Annual General Meeting on Saturday 20th September, where the branch director was presented with a fundraising cheque from the Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans.
The Cheltenham and District Samaritans branch AGM was held on September 20. Our branch director, Andy, thanked all the volunteers for the amazing work that they do to support callers throughout the year.
We were very grateful for a really interesting talk from Vicci Livingstone-Thompson, CEO of disabled-people's led charity Inclusion Gloucestershire. While Vicci was not able to join us in person, she kindly recorded a video talk about the work that the charity does, and provided some insight into the extra mental health challenges faced by disabled people.
We were also joined by Gary, vice chair of the Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans, who presented us with a large cheque, thanks to the amazing fundraising work that they have been doing. These funds are vital to keep our branch running, so that we can continue to support callers in the local community and on the phone lines, where anyone can call for free, 24/7 on 116 123.
