The Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans once again held their highly successful and enjoyable fundraising beer festival last weekend.
The Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans hosted their craft beer festival in the beautiful location of St Philip and St James Leckhampton (Pip and Jim's).
Across Friday and Saturday, the beer festival saw hundreds of supporters gather to raise funds for our branch while raising a glass in friendship. The fundraising was helped in great part thanks to the generosity of the events sponsors, including gold sponsors Nick Griffith estate agents, Cheltenham Round Table, de Lisle financial planning, Weird Fish and Cambray property management.
The Friends also remembered their good friend Pauline Higgs. Pauline, a Cheltonian from birth, was known by all her friends and family to be incredibly kind, loving, a great support and always putting others first. It was these attributes that made Pauline want to help others and become a Samaritan volunteer as well as helping with the Friends of the Cheltenham Samaritans. Pauline was a familiar face volunteering at Glastonbury in the famous pink shirts along with helping at the Beer Festival when held at Old Pats.
After a short courageous battle with cancer, Pauline sadly passed away in September. Pauline’s family wanted to honour her memory by raising funds for the Samaritans in her memory and have raised over £700 to date.
Tickets are already on sale for the next craft beer festival to be held on 27th and 28th February 2026: Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans Craft Beer Festival tickets. We look forward to seeing you there.
