Christmas Challenge

No matter the reason, Central London Samaritans are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - and that includes Christmas Day.

Thanks to pledges from Shaftesbury Capital and The Julia Rausing Trust – this December, Central London Samaritans have been given an amazing opportunity to fundraise through Big Give’s Christmas Challenge campaign.

£1,000 keeps our branch open for 24 hours and with your help, if we reach our £4,000 target, we can support the community on the biggest holidays this winter including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

From 12PM on Tuesday 2nd December to 9th December 2025, Central London Samaritans is taking part in Big Give's Christmas Challenge Match Funding campaign. This means every donation made through our campaign page*, no matter its size, will be doubled.

No gift is too small - during this week, every pound truly counts twice.

What you can do now:

  1. 🗓Add a reminder for Tuesday, 2nd December 2025, and save this link: https://donate.biggive.org/campaign/a05WS000006NSg6YAG - the donate button will appear when the campaign launches at 12pm (midday).
  2. 📣 Spread the word - Share the campaign with friends, family, and on social media. Anyone who donates can have their gift doubled!
  3. 💳 Remember, only donations made via our official donation page will be matched - Big Give accepts payments via debit card, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and BACS only.
  4. ⏱ Remember to complete your donation within 30 minutes - match funds are reserved for just half an hour—if time runs out, you’ll see a pop-up asking you to start again.
  5. 💷 Donating £500 or more? You can choose to use BACS. Please allow time for processing—only BACS donations received by 9th December can be matched.
