Over the coming year Co-op members can choose Samaritans Carlisle to receive support from the Local Community Fund. We will use that funding towards our Outreach work in support of mental health, particularly among men, who are statistically at greater risk of suicide and may need our support most.
Our presence, alongside organisations such as Every Life Matters and Andy's Man Club, will help raise awareness of mental health issues. Our goal is to provide human connection in a positive environment and begin the conversation which could save a life.
Samaritans is the only organisation to provide 24/7 telephone support, enabling those in distress to talk and be heard, even late into the night.
