How we can help
Unfortunately due to the current situation with the Coronavirus, we have temporarily suspended our Face to Face service. We will resume as soon as we are able. Meanwhile, if you need to talk to one of our volunteers please ring 116 123 - it's free and availalbe 24/7.
If you're struggling to cope, and need someone to talk to in confidence, give us a call. People can contact Samaritans throughout the day and night.
Someone is always there, around the clock, to listen to whatever's troubling you, even if life seems too difficult to go on. You will speak to someone who is just an ordinary person but who cares about what you’re going through. We don’t judge and we won’t tell - but we will listen. Call us on 116 123 from any phone, for free. Whatever’s on your mind - do contact us.

Samaritans out and about: You’ll also see us each Monday evening in the Emergency Department at Royal United Hospital Bath talking to patients and their families. Or perhaps when we visit local schools, railway stations, businesses or maybe when we are helping at Leyhill Open Prison.
Get involved, and help us help others: If you are interested in helping Samaritans with our work and want to know more, we are once again ready to accept new applications to join the Branch. Going forward, there will no longer be Information Evenings or Selection Days. Instead there will be an interview either by zoom or in the Branch (Covid-19 restrictions permitting).
We know many of you have been extremely patient which we really appreciate. If you are still interested, please contact Leo at [email protected] or leave an answerphone message on 01225 423540 for more information. To volunteer, just follow the link below.
