Dave Lawrence, a listening volunteer at Doncaster Samaritans, is walking 6000 miles visiting every Samaritans branch in the UK and Ireland.
On April 14th 2019 Dave set off from Doncaster Samaritans on a 6000 mile walk over 2 years to visit every Samaritans branch in the UK and Ireland raising awareness and funds for the charity. On Sunday, 1st December he made his 72nd stop which was at Banbury and District Branch and it was a real pleasure to meet him and listen to stories from his adventures. In order to keep up his listening skills Dave is also doing duties at branches along the way where timings allow. This is an incredible feat and demonstrates that Samaritans volunteers truly are ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
