Tuesday, 20th July was a big day for the branch as we held our first outreach event since January 2020, and there was no better place to start than Banbury Station..
Following discussion within the branch and the completion of a full risk assessment we decided to dip our toes into the outreach water and we're so glad that we did. Although the station was quieter than on previous visits we met so many wonderful people, had some great chats and people were just genuinely pleased to see us. We have some new members in our outreach team too and it was the ideal venue for them to put their training into practice and raise awareness of who Samaritans are and what we do all perfectly timed for Talk to Us month. Special thanks also to station and cafe staff plus the taxi drivers who kept us supplied with cold drinks on one of the hottest days of the year!
