Listening volunteers
From our office in Aberystwyth, we work with other Samaritans branches to provide emotional support to callers on the phone from across the UK. After completing a thorough training course, volunteers typically do a three hour shift each week. We host the Welsh line one evening a week.
Support volunteers
The branch is run by volunteers so there are other roles including Outreach. Do you have a particular skill or professional expertise that we could make use of? After some training to become familiar with the vision and values of Samaritans, and the nature of our service, you would then use your particular skill to help the work of the branch.
