Celebrating 50 years in Aberystwyth!
Our volunteers have been supporting the communities of mid Wales and beyond since 1976.
Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide
Our volunteers spend hundreds of hours each year, providing a confidential and non-judgmental listening service, every day of the week, including weekends and holidays and overnight. As part of Samaritans nationally we provide emotional support to people experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.
Outreach
As we provide emotional support, we support individuals in many different circumstances, and we will work alongside other organisations who engage or support individuals. We are also keen to raise awareness and help communities support each other. For further information please see Outreach.
Volunteering
We are always recruiting more volunteers including those who provide a listening service, those who may be willing to give talks or are interested in publicity, marketing and fundraising. All members of our branch are volunteers! Would you be interested in volunteering for us or helping us fundraising? To find out more please see Volunteering.
Giving
We depend on the generous contributions from our donors. If you would like to donate to us, please see Giving.
