Thanks to the dedication of more than 20,000 volunteers, Samaritans can be there for anyone, whatever they are going through and whenever they are struggling to cope. We’re also at the heart of local communities, working with schools, workplaces, railways, prisons and hospitals to offer training and support, preventing suicide and helping people turn their lives around.

Our life-saving work wouldn’t be possible without the extraordinary generosity of our event participants.

About the Cardiff Half Marathon

From the event organisers: " The Oysho Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest and most exciting road races in the United Kingdom; and is truly a Race For Everyone. It is now one of Europe’s largest half marathons and is Wales’ largest mass participation and multi-charity fundraising event.

Its flat, fast course passes all of the city’s most breathtaking scenery and iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Civic Centre and stunning Cardiff Bay."

Wheelchairs:

The race organisers welcome hand-propelled wheelchair competitors but there are challenging elements to the course to be aware of. For further details of the challenging features on the course, please refer to the event FAQs here.

Support Runners:

The race organisers are happy to give a complimentary entry and a high-viz bib to a support runner, should you need one. If so, please contact [email protected] or ring 029 2166 0790.
