Why Samaritans need your support
We know that life can sometimes be incredibly tough. Thanks to the dedication of more than 20,000 volunteers, Samaritans can be there for anyone, whatever they are going through and whenever they are struggling to cope. We’re also at the heart of local communities, working with schools, workplaces, railways, prisons and hospitals to offer training and support, preventing suicide and helping people turn their lives around.

About the TCS Amsterdam Marathon
From the event organisers: "The TCS Amsterdam Marathon holds the World Athletics Platinum Label and has for many years featured one of the fastest courses in the world.
In the ranking of the world’s fastest marathon cities, the largest marathon in the Netherlands takes seventh place. Highlights of the course include the start and finish in the Olympic Stadium, the passage under the Rijksmuseum and past the Heineken Experience, the scenic kilometers along the Amstel River, and the loop through Vondelpark. "
