In 2024 the GAA and Samaritans celebrated 10 years of partnership in which it is built on a shared commitment to supporting mental health and well-being in communities. The GAA has partnered with Samaritans to raise awareness about mental health issues, particularly within the sporting community. This collaboration involves initiatives aimed at reducing stigma, promoting open discussions about mental health, and providing support to those struggling or in the aftermath of a suicide, suspected suicide, or attempted suicide.

We appreciate our partnership with Samaritans Ireland. We have been delighted to offer the ‘Conversations with vulnerable people’ module to staff working in INOU affiliated organisations. We would like to thank Samaritans for delivering this great module, in-person and online. The feedback is consistently excellent.
