Golf Ireland announced a new partnership with Samaritans Ireland last January, underscoring the governing body’s commitment to nurturing the mental and emotional health of the golfing community.
We are delighted to mark a fantastic first year of that partnership as it unites our shared mission to support wellbeing, raise awareness and ensure that there is always someone ready to listen.
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited about the opportunities to go even further - to deepen our impact through new initiatives, engage more clubs and golfers widely, and continue building an environment where every person knows that help is available and no one must face things alone.
We would like to thank all golfers who have supported us to date.

As a golfer and Samaritans volunteer, I understand the benefits of good mental health. I am delighted that this new partnership between Golf Ireland and Samaritans Ireland will benefit people across the country who may be struggling to cope but don’t feel they have someone to talk to.
