Supporting mental health in Warrington: Samaritans volunteers attend community event to offer a listening ear after film screening
On Thursday 15 May, two dedicated volunteers from the Warrington, Halton and St Helens Samaritans branch attended a special community mental health event in Warrington.
The event at Cineworld Warrington featured a screening of the film Community In Mind (available on YouTube), which aims to highlight and celebrate some of the amazing people and groups supporting local residents' mental wellbeing.
Following the screening, attendees had the opportunity to meet with group leaders from various local mental health support organisations.
The Samaritans volunteers were there to offer a listening ear and talk with attendees after the film to provide emotional support.
Events like this help connect the community with valuable services and raise awareness of the many support networks available. We’re proud to have played a small part in supporting mental wellbeing in Warrington.
