As we celebrated National Volunteers week, Tony 39 celebrated his own milestone of being a Samaritans volunteer for 50 years with us, having previously volunteered for 3 years with Birmingham branch.

Aurora seen in Walsall
After recent sightings of the Aurora Borealis in the UK, and following a delay over bad weather, 31 people ventured to Pelsall to paint their own version of the Northern lights.

After reaching our original £250,000 fundraising target for Project 55 at the end of December 2024, 2025 started with some sobering news.

WE DID IT!
When we launched Project 55 just over a year ago, it felt as if we were looking at a long-term goal. Our Branch Leadership Team thought it would take a timeframe of three years or so.

Project 55 : £200,000 milestone reached!.
Once again we want to thank all our community supporters, local businesses and other Samaritan branches who have helped us reach £200,000 towards our target of £250,000.

Volunteers Out and about!
Our volunteers regularly attended Outreach events in the local community, along with community related fundraising. We are always delighted to be invited to talk about the work we do.
