Why Samaritans in the Valleys of South Wales?

We are keen to offer our support to all residents of the Valleys, the aims of our branch are:

  • To provide emotional support to individuals in need and in places where they most need us
  • To raise awareness of our services so everyone in the Valleys will know where to find us when they need us
  • To encourage people to seek help and reach out for support when life is difficult

People can discuss anything that’s getting them down, no matter how serious or how trivial and the conversation stays safe with our Samaritan volunteers.  Whether people feel suicidal or not they are given the opportunity to talk through whatever is on their mind with a non-judgemental volunteer who is trained to listen.
