On World Suicide Prevention Day, our branch was honoured to welcome Kate Thomas, Mayor of Newport; Jayne Bryant, Assembly Member for Newport West; and Neil Ingram, Samaritans Executive Director for Wales.
During their visit, our guests spoke with volunteers on shift, toured the premises, and took part in thoughtful discussions about our mission: working towards a future where fewer lives are lost to suicide, while providing emotional support to anyone in distress.
We were also delighted to have previously welcomed Jess Morden MP and Ruth Jones MP, whose continued encouragement and support mean so much to all our volunteers.
