Powys Samaritans will be running a training course in Llandrindod Wells starting 8th March 2026
Are you a good listener? Can you spare a few hours a week? We are looking for ordinary people to be there to listen to people who are having a difficult time and really need someone to talk to who is non-judgemental, understanding and compassionate.
Samaritans provides emotional support to anyone struggling to cope or at risk of suicide. We provide our free phone service 24/7. Sometimes our callers wait too long to get through, so we are looking for new volunteers.

Powys Samaritans will be running a training course in Llandrindod Wells starting 8th March 2026. You don't need any previous experience or special skills to become a listening volunteer. After training you will work with an experienced mentor.
