Samaritans' Small Talk Saves Lives campaign encourages the public to start a simple conversation if they think someone isn’t OK at railway stations or other public places, if they feel safe.
This year you'll find us at 3-1-5 Health Club on Caton Road, Lancaster on 12th March handing out leaflets and chatting to people. On 18th March, we're taking the train and chatting to passengers between Lancaster and Ulverston to tell them about how Small Talk can Save Lives.
To find out more about starting a conversation, have a look at our How to start a conversation page. It tells you the signs to look out for that somebody may need help, how to start a chat, what to do next and how to look after yourself.
We can all struggle. Any place. Any time. Our campaign is about turning everyday conversations into moments that matter. If someone doesn’t look OK, start a conversation. You could save a life.
