Welcoming a Hero: The Listening Walk Arrives in Harrow
In 2019, David Matthews MBE founded The Listening Walk to shine a light on suicide prevention. After completing an incredible 6,100-mile journey during the lockdown years, David set off once again in September 2026 to repeat the feat—visiting over 200 Samaritans branches across the UK and Ireland.
Today, we were honoured to welcome David to our branch. It was a moving experience for our volunteers to meet the man behind this epic mission!
David walks to ensure that our message reaches those who need it most. We are so proud to cheer him on through this journey.
