Harrow Samaritans volunteers - Branch Director Marion, Delores and Paul recently attended the Mayor’s Reception, where the Mayor of Harrow presented awards to individuals and organisations who have made outstanding contributions to the local community during her year in office.
We are delighted to have been selected as one of two charities chosen by the Mayor to receive significant fundraising support during her term.
The event celebrated what the Mayor described as “Harrow Heroes” - people and groups whose dedication and service have made a meaningful difference across the borough.
Our amazing volunteers Paul and Delores were recognised for their extraordinary commitment to Harrow Samaritans, with 53 and 43 years of service respectively. Their dedication is truly inspiring.
The reception also brought together a range of other community groups, highlighting the strength and diversity of voluntary work across Harrow.
