Harrow Samaritans at the Harrow Carers Information Event
We were pleased to attend the Harrow Carers Information Event, hosted by Harrow Carers- a fantastic organisation supporting the invaluable carers in our community. It was a pleasure to meet so many dedicated individuals and organisations working tirelessly to support carers across Harrow. We were pleased to meet Mayor Cllr Anjana Patel, whose presence and support highlighted the importance of the event, honouring the dedication, compassion and resilience of unpaid carers.
This year’s event, themed Caring About Equality, focused on the real challenges carers face - from social isolation to financial hardship. The event featured, among other things, information stalls, Q&A sessions with professionals and talks on topics such as young carers, employment and respite care to empower carers with vital knowledge, resources and a strong sense of community.
