Great Yarmouth

Great Yarmouth Samaritans have been supporting Great Yarmouth and the surrounding areas for over 50 years. In November 2023 we were awarded The King's Award for Voluntary Service which is the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK and is the equivalent to an MBE. More recently, in November 2025 we were awarded The Freedom of the Borough of Great Yarmouth.

What's going on at Great Yarmouth Samaritans?

As well as providing our listening service, our Outreach team regularly deliver talks and/or training at schools, local employers and community groups. And, of course, we host fundraisers and awareness events.

We are always on the lookout for new volunteers either to provide emotional support or behind the scenes to help the branch run.
