About Darlington Samaritans
Each year Darlington Samaritans supports:
- 45,000 people over the phone
- 3,000 via email
- 3,150 over text
- 30 people in person
The Branch plays an important role within the community and our volunteers are at the heart of local activities in support of the Charity. Last year, we trained 100 prisoners to provide listening services to fellow inmates within HMP/YOI Deerbolt and we work closely with local railway stations to help with suicide prevention programmes.
Volunteering at Darlington Samaritans
We don't just provide opportunities for volunteers who want to provide telephone support. There are many others ways in which you can help, including publicity, fundraising and administration roles.
