To mark World Mental Health Day, this October, join us by taking part in Dawn Walk, oursponsored 5K walk at dawn.
On Saturday 11 th October at 06:00 we’ll be meeting at Midsummer Common, (junction of Maid’s Causeway and Victoria Road), to walk in solidarity with those struggling to cope and to raise vital funds for Cambridge Samaritans. All funds raised will help our volunteers continue to be there for anyone struggling to cope with life's challenges.
Registrations are open. Join us to watch the sunrise over Midsummer Common and the river Cam.
Henry Jabbour, Branch Director at Cambridge Samaritans, said: “This exciting new challenge is a great way for people to look after their own mental health, connect with other people and raise vital funds for our life-saving service that helps so many in need of support.
“Life is tough for a lot of people right now for all kinds of reasons. Our volunteers are here for anyone regardless of what they are facing, to listen to people when they feel like they have nowhere else to turn to. The funds raised from this new event will help us to continue to be there and support anyone in need of a listening ear.”
