Reaching out to support the community in difficult time.
This week, our community was shaken by a tragic loss of life near Dudley Port. In the wake of such heartbreak, the importance of compassion, presence, and support cannot be overstated.
On the evening of October 1st, volunteers from Brierley Hill Samaritans attended a postvention gathering near the site, offering quiet strength and a listening ear to those affected. Their presence was not only comforting—it was vital. In moments of grief and confusion, simply being there can make all the difference.
We are deeply grateful to every volunteer who gave their time, empathy, and care. Your kindness truly mattered.
If you’re struggling, please know that you are not alone. Samaritans are here to listen, 24/7, free of charge. Call 116 123 anytime, day or night.
Let’s continue to look out for one another, speak openly about mental health, and remind those around us: help is always available, and hope is never out of reach.
