On Mental Health Awareness Day, Brierley Hill Samaritans volunteers made a meaningful impact by setting up at Co-op Dudley to raise awareness about mental health and the support their charity provide.
Throughout the day, volunteers engaged with members of the public, offering resources, listening ears, and heartfelt conversations. Their presence served as a reminder that help is always available, and that talking about mental health should never be taboo.
The event was a testament to the power of community and compassion. Shoppers paused to learn more about the Samaritans’ mission, pick up information leaflets, and share their own experiences. For many, it was a chance to connect, reflect, and feel seen.
We extend our deepest thanks to the Brierley Hill Samaritans team for their dedication and to everyone who stopped by to show support. Your kindness and openness help break down stigma and build a stronger, more understanding community.
If you or someone you know is struggling, remember: you are not alone. The Samaritans are here to listen, 24/7.
