Samaritans of Bournemouth & District Outreach team had a busy start to 2026!
Bournemouth Samaritans Outreach team had a busy start to 2026. Each week, highly trained Outreach Team volunteers visit Bournemouth Police Custody Suite and work alongside local charity, Hope For Food providing emotional support for those in difficult situations.
Outreach volunteers were at Bournemouth Train Station for the Samaritans nationwide awareness campaign, Brew Monday encouraging passengers and staff to enjoy human connection over a cuppa.
The Outreach team were also invited to meet with service leaders and users at the addiction charity, With You in Boscombe and Poole. Finally, the team joined BCP Council and Digital Skills Hub for the wellbeing and jobs fair, Thrive In 2026.
