Join us on the 15th October for our Dawn Walk - a special 5k walk at sunrise to mark World Mental Health Day
To mark World Mental Health Day, on the 15th October, join us by taking part in Dawn Walk, our sponsored 5K walk at dawn.
On 12th October at 6:30am, we’ll be meeting at Main Gate Witton Country Park, Blackburn to walk in solidarity with those struggling to copy and to raise vital funds for Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn & Ribble Valley Samaritans. All funds raised will help our volunteers continue to be there for anyone struggling to cope with life's challenges.
Registrations are open. Join us to watch the sunrise over Witton Country Park.
Paula Fairbairn, Branch Director at Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn & Ribble Valley Samaritans, said: “This exciting new challenge is a great way for people to look after their own mental health, connect with other people and raise vital funds for our life-saving service that helps so many in need of support.
“Life is tough for a lot of people right now for all kinds of reasons. Our volunteers are here for anyone regardless of what they are facing, to listen to people when they feel like they have nowhere else to turn to. The funds raised from this new event will help us to continue to be there and support anyone in need of a listening ear.”
