Bedford Samaritans was founded in 1963, so we celebrated our 60th Anniversary in 2023!
Small Talk Saves Lives
Your words are a life-saving kit. If you see someone who doesn’t look OK, a little small talk could save their life. Anyone can do it.
Since its launch in 2017, Small Talk Saves Lives has encouraged people to start a simple conversation if they think someone isn’t OK at railway stations or other public places, if they feel safe to do so.

Donate to Bedford Branch
We rely entirely on donations from the public, businesses and other organisations. It costs around £25,000 a year to run our branch in Bromham Road, Bedford. Any gift you feel able to give us will help us continue to reach those who are struggling to cope.
