We Listen

We Listen

Life can be tough.

At times our emotions can be overwhelming. Samaritans can support you to explore your feelings and options and find your way through.

So whatever you're going through, our volunteers will listen.

We don't just hear you, we listen

How our service helps

We know a lot about what can help you through tough times. We can help you explore your options, understand your problems better, or just be there to listen.

Not sure what to say?

You don't have to be suicidal to call us. We're here to listen. Here's what you can speak to Samaritans about.

About contacting us

Samaritans can help you explore your feelings and emotions, without judgement.

We Listen

Watch our 360° / virtual reality campaign video in the player below. Shot from the point of view of a friend having a conversation with a man going through difficult times, a series of distractions highlight that it's not always easy to hear what really matters.

If our video doesn't load in the player below, you can watch it on our YouTube channel (best loaded in the YouTube app).

Our We Listen Campaign

Supported by Network Rail and the wider rail industry in England, Scotland and Wales, and Translink in Northern Ireland, the campaign seeks to raise awareness and increase understanding of Samaritans so that people see contacting us as a positive, empowering first step in seeking help and taking control of their lives. You can find out more about the programme here.

Our campaign posters are up in rail stations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and they challenge you to find the hidden message and real meaning behind a seemingly everyday conversation. They aim to encourage people to contact Samaritans and talk about whatever they're going through. Find out more about the campaign here (for press), or discover the background of the campaign here.
