to discover what's involved in being a Samaritans
volunteer.The evenings are held at the branch at Coleham Head in
Shrewsbury.
Not all Samaritans volunteers are listening volunteers. There
are many other ways to get involved such as helping with publicity
and fundraising.

Shrewsbury Samaritans in the Community
- We work closely with Shrewsbury Prison, training inmates to act
as Samaritan style volunteers (Listeners) within the prison, and
supporting the prison population as a whole
- We go into schools in Shropshire to give talks and run
workshops such as dealing with stress and emotional health
- We give talks to local organisations and community groups
