We don't know when people might need Samaritans, that's why we're here 24 hours a day

Welcome to Enfield, Haringey and Barnet Samaritans
40 Queens Road, Bounds Green, London N11 2QU. Tel: 020 8889 6888

Enfield Barnet and Haringey branch of Samaritans provides emotional support across three large north London boroughs, both inner city and suburban. Consequently, our range of callers and the problems they need to talk through covers the widest spectrum. EHB Samaritans never know who or what they are going to encounter when they answer the 'phone or open the front door to a visitor to the branch. Which is why our selection and training to become a Samaritan volunteer necessarily needs to be rigorous and thorough. However, while the work is very challenging at times, it is always rewarding.

Many people of all ages are now looking to do more than the standard nine to five, and give some time to rewarding voluntary work. Owing to the ebb and flow of life in the capital we are always looking for new volunteers. If you think you would like to explore the possibility of becoming a Samaritan do get in touch by 'phone, email, or letter, click Contact us for details; we have monthly open evenings. From there you can take your application further, or decide we're not for you. No pressure whatsoever.

Alternatively, if you're feeling low and just need someone to talk to, you can call us any time, day or night. We're waiting to listen and talk, without judgement, with empathy.

Very best wishes

Simon

Branch Director

*We welcome applications from people who are from all backgrounds, as we are
keen to increase the diversity in the branch to support our local community.
