Basingstoke Samaritans play an active role in supporting people at a local and regional level. Support is provided by telephone, SMS and email for members of the community which turn to us in times of despair or distress. In addition the branch is open for face to face support during the opening times described above. The branch has been active since 1969 and is continually striving to extend new ways of helping members of the community through difficult periods in their lives.
At Basingstoke we have a thriving outreach community project which closely liaises with other organiations across the community to provide a focused and coordinated approach in supporting the local community of Basingstoke.
