Where your money goes

For every £1 donated to Samaritans and its branches in the UK and Ireland, 88p goes on our services and just 12p is invested in raising the next £1.

Why we need your support

Every 6 seconds, someone contacts us. Our team of trained volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

In 2017, there were 6,213 suicides in the UK and Republic of Ireland

At this time of writing, around 30% of our volunteers will be self-isolating because they are over 70 years old or have an underlying health condition.

In the UK, men are three times more likely to take their own lives than women

Thank you for everything you're doing to try to make sure we can still be there for people now and over the next few months.
