Donate June Appeal [Case Study]
Your donation could help us answer more calls for support at this crucial time
You can help people find hope during the coronavirus crisis and change the lives of those who need us.
Your donation can help us continue to be there
Where your money goes
Find out why, in this year like no other, your support will mean more than ever
Your donation today will help ease the huge pressure on our listening service, making sure we can be here for everyone who needs us, when they need us.
Your support will help us invest in new systems, software, processes and equipment so more volunteers can offer support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
With around 30% of our listening volunteers either in the high-risk groups that have been asked to self-isolate or caring for others, we urgently need to recruit more volunteers to cope with current and future demands on our listening service.
We’re updating our listening volunteer training so it’s all available online and with your support, we could fast track the introduction of this training across the UK.
Talking to NHS staff you get a really good idea of what they are going through and the pressures on them. I spoke to one healthcare worker who had served in war zones in a previous career and still had seen nothing like this. The intensity of the calls has increased dramatically. After almost 15 years as a Samaritan, I have never been more convinced that what we do is crucial
