Winners of the Samarathon Prize Draw

Terms and conditions

The Prize Draw is open to Samarathon 2021 participants aged 14 and over, who have raised £150 or more on their JustGiving fundraising page by midnight on Tuesday 31 August 2021.

Offline donations recorded on a JustGiving page will not count towards the total, but additional offline donations paid to Samaritans via our donation page by midnight on Tuesday 31 August 2021 will be counted, if they are clearly identifiable as Samarathon funds paid by the participant.

Anyone who raises £150 or more after this date will not be entered.

The free Prize Draw will take place on Thursday 9 September 2021 and the winner will be notified by telephone and/or email on or by Tuesday 21 September 2021.

Winners receive either a Tribe Sports Endure Tee and Endure Race Shorts or a £100 voucher from Contur. The prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.

If the winner does not respond within one month of the draw date, the winner's prize will be forfeited.

The winner’s details (name and prize) will be published on our website or before Friday 16 August 2021.

Employees of Samaritans or anyone else connected with the free Prize Draw may not enter the Prize Draw.

To qualify for the Prize Draw entrants must raise £150 or more on their JustGiving fundraising page by midnight on Tuesday 31 August 2021 .

Prize Draw entrants shall be considered to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

If you would prefer not to be entered into the Prize Draw, please email [email protected] and put Prize Draw Withdrawal in the subject line.

We can only accept one entry per person.

The two winners will be chosen from a random draw of entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The draw will be performed by a random computer process by an independent adjudicator.

The prizes will be sent to the winners by post/email from the donating company, within two weeks of confirmation of their details.

Samaritans may ask the winner to take part in promotional activity related to the Prize Draw and the winner shall participate in such activity upon reasonable request. The winner consents to the use by Samaritans of personal quotes, photographs and name for fundraising and charity publicity purposes in any medium, including still photographs, in print and/or on the internet - including any websites hosted by Samaritans.

All our prize draws and competitions will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

Insofar as is permitted by law, Samaritans, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Samaritans, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Samaritans reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

The decision of Samaritans regarding any aspect of the prize draw or competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
