Samaritan’s runners triumph in a record Great North half marathon

Nearly 100 runners took part in the Great North Run for Samaritans on Sunday 10 September.

The 96 runners raised a record amount - more than £38,000 - by completing the half marathon course around Newcastle.

The run was won by Olympic champion Mo Farah who led the field of around 57,000 people from all over the country.

I still can't believe that I completed the Great North Run, something I thought I would never be able to do!
