Read our response to the Mental Health Transition and Recovery Plan outlining the Scottish Government's commitment to addressing the ongoing impact of Covid-19 on mental health.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have been working closely with the Scottish Government to influence their response to the ongoing impact of Covid-19 on mental health and wellbeing.
The Mental Health Recovery and Transition plan was published on the 8th of October and was followed by a ministerial statement outlining the new commitments from Clare Haughey, the Minister for Mental Health.
Our areas of priority for supporting Scotland’s mental health and wellbeing throughout the pandemic and towards recovery have been –
- Suicide Prevention
- Socio-economic inequalities
- Rural mental health
- Young people
- Digital exclusion and online harms
- Role of the third sector
Read our briefing for more details on our priority areas and how policy and services can respond to these issues. We expect the new commitments laid out in the Recovery and Transition Plan to be partnered with a targeted action plan to ensure targets are met and progress is achieved.
