Counting down to a star studded ICAP Charity Day

Samaritans is excited to be one of the charities benefiting from the City of London’s biggest fundraising event, ICAP Charity Day 2015 on Wednesday 9 December.

A host of celebrities and VIPs, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, will be taking to the dealing floor of the global financial firm and ‘closing’ deals, with 100% of the company’s revenues and commissions going to charity on the day.

We are grateful to the Isabella Blow Foundation for partnering with us so that we can benefit from the day and ensure that more people have access to our services.

We’ll be tweeting live from the event and revealing, as they arrive, the wonderful celebrities who are giving their time to be there to represent for Samaritans and the Foundation.

Since ICAP Charity Day started in 1993, more than £120m has been raised across its 60 offices worldwide. Last year’s event alone raised £8m.

Samaritans is available round the clock, every single day of the year, providing a safe place to talk for anyone who is struggling to cope, whoever you are and whatever life has done to you. Please call 116 123 (this number is FREE to call and will not appear on your phone bill), email jo@samaritans.org, or visit www.samaritans.org to find details of your nearest branch.

Samaritans relies almost entirely on donations to run our listening services and our 201 branches, as well training our 21,000 volunteers. If you would like to support Samaritans by making a donation, you can find out how to help at: http://www.samaritans.org/christmas
