Today, we have around 30 volunteers providing listening services and helping us raise funds to be able to be there for those who have lots on their mind.

Samaritans are here for anyone struggling to cope – day or night, 365 days a year.

Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and we as a branch help to deliver the Samaritans’ vision, that fewer people die by suicide. We believe that suicide is preventable. We take action to prevent people reaching crisis point, helping people find ways to cope and learn the skills to be there for others. We campaign to make suicide prevention a priority. If you feel you need to speak to a Samaritan please check out the ways that you can.

Boston Branch has no paid staff and is run solely by volunteers who are described as 'Ordinary people doing extraordinary things'. If you feel that you, too, can do extraordinary things and would like to do something you’re proud of, please do visit our volunteering page.
