Race Night - Friday 29th May 2020

We're pleased to announce that we'll be holding a race night at Grappenhall Ex-Servicemens Club on Friday 29th May, commencing at 19:30.

  • Posted 29th February 2020

This should be an effective and enjoyable way of raising vital funds to ensure that our branch can continue to operate and be there for the many people who need us.

Tickets cost £5 and will include a hot pot supper. Children over the age of 10 are welcome to attend.

There will be eight races on the night with bets taken for £1 each, along with additional activities like a raffle.

In advance of the event, we are immediately seeking race sponsors - £20 a race. Sponsorship can come from a business or individual and each sponsor will get promotion both in advance and on the night, along with free entry (up to two free places).

Each race will feature eight horses. For £5 you can own a horse and choose its name. Alternatively, you can become a horse jockey for £3. Winners will of course receive a prize and the names of sponsors, owners and jockeys will be included in a race card.

To book your ticket(s) or to become a sponsor, owner or jockey, please email [email protected]
