Are you interested in becoming a Fundraising Volunteer with Swindon & District Samaritans?
We have a team of dedicated volunteers, known as 'Friends of Swindon Samaritans' (FOSS) who help raise the £60,000 that it costs to provide our service every year.
FOSS raises funds in lots of different ways - including tin rattles, awareness raising, special events and applications to corporations and trusts.
Fundraising can be very rewarding and fun! There are opportunities to help just on particular occasions when we need an extra pair of hands through to seeking out opportunities, drafting grant applications, thinking of new fundraising ideas and organising social events.
You will have the chance to use and develop your personal attributes and skills - planning, creativity... and persuasive charm!
You must be a reliable and honest team worker. As a fundraising volunteer you also represent the public face of Samaritans and will receive training to help you understand the service we offer.
The main thing is to be enthusiastic whilst not taking on more than you can deliver!
How you can apply...
You can click on the ‘VOLUNTEER AT THIS BRANCH’ link on the right and fill in an on-line application.
Alternatively you can telephone us on 01793 512490 and speak to one of our volunteers or leave a message on our answer phone - say that you're interested in helping with fundraising and we'll get back to you.
