Volunteering at The Samaritans of Waltham Forest

Are you interested in finding out about becoming a Samaritans volunteer?

Waltham Forest Samaritans are always looking for new Listening Volunteers and Support Volunteers.

Listening volunteers are those that answer calls, texts, and emails and occasionally talk to callers face to face.  Support volunteers cover a variety of roles including (but not limited to) fundraising, branch upkeep, management committee, administration support, event management – basically anything we need to do to keep the branch running!

To volunteer with us, you need to attend one of our Information Events. These usually last around an hour and a half and tell you more about Samaritans and volunteering at our Branch.

We run information sessions throughout the year and will be having our next selection day in May. Please keep an eye on the website for the dates of the selection day and our upcoming information sessions. Or email walthamforestsamaritans@gmail.com  for more information.

Information events are held at the branch 663 Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, E10 6AL (see the How to get here).
