Interested in volunteering at Stoke and Newcastle Samaritans?
We are always on the lookout for new people to join our friendly team. We usually recruit new volunteers three times a year. Here you can find out more information on important dates and the process for recruitment.
1. Attend an Information Session
We give a short presentation to explain more about our Organisation, the work we do and what would be expected of you should you wish to pursue volunteering. There is plenty of time to ask questions and the session lasts for about 2.5 hours. No pressure is put upon you to carry on the process should you decide that it is not for you.
2. Attend an Interview
The interview will be as friendly and informal as possible. You'll have a chance to ask questions, and the 2 interviewers will want to discuss with you some of the things on your application form.
3. Commence training (if accepted at interview)
Please note: Due to the nature of the work we do it is essential that you attend all stages of the recruitment process and all training sessions.
