Volunteers from Samaritans of South Devon have raised £900 selling Pimms at this year’s Abbfest - a volunteer run, charity festival that raises money for local charities and organisations.

Samaritans of South Devon has been pouring Pimms for nearly 10 years raising over £7000.

Carol Crawshaw, Partnerships Co-ordinator at the branch commented: “We’re delighted to have supported Abbfest again this year.  It’s a very well run and popular event and we thank the organisers for welcoming us back.  We’d also like to thank everyone who bought Pimms from us, raising a fantastic £900 that will help keep our branch running”.

Samaritans of South Devon receives no statutory funding so we rely totally on our own fundraising efforts and on donations for the costs of being there for our many thousands of callers.
