Coffee Morning in September

Being a Samaritan at Leicester means...
Saturday 23rd July 2016
Leicester Samaritans are looking for new volunteers and on Sunday 4th September there is the opportunity to come in the branch and find out more about what it is about.

Thinking of volunteering with Samaritans? We are holding a coffee morning on Sunday 4th September 2016  from 10.30am - 12.30pm in our branch, why not come along and meet some of our volunteers for a chat? We are always looking for new volunteers in both listening and support roles.

Volunteering doesn't just mean talking on the phone - we reply to emails and texts, need people to fundraise and work in the shop, and help with our outreach work.

In National Volunteering Week some of our volunteers shared why they spend their time volunteering for Samaritans.

Our volunteers work with wonderful people and and like to be there for others at crucial times

Our volunteers say they enjoy working with wonderful people and feel supported while they are being there for others at crucial times to make a difference.

Volunteers like that warm and fuzzy feeling

They like that warm and fuzzy feeling of being there for those who need support and having lots of friends and people to help you.

Volunteers still enjoy being there after all the changes

While our volunteers are still enjoying being a Samaritan they also enjoy the cake!

We hope you can join us and will consider joining our branch.
