Volunteering with us
Our branch has two types of volunteer:
- Listening volunteers support our callers over the phone, by email and text, in person when they visit the branch, and outside the branch at events or during outreach
- Support volunteers help with the running of the branch by working on fundraising, IT, cleaning, marketing, administration, recruitment and building management
We're always in need of new listening and support volunteers to help us continue supporting our callers.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and every type of background.
If you can be compassionate, empathetic and organised, then you could become a listening volunteer.

Some volunteers only stay at the branch for a year or two because their circumstances change.
However, other volunteers have been at the branch for decades.
